Thanks for the condolences

Just makes me a bit reflective of days gone by. Never to come again.

I am an old fella that got a late start with family so have 2 little ones to keep me
Smiling! Not to mention that female that is always around here. ! ! ! ! !

Its 1/2 full Jeff , standing at the ready for another session

I hope you plan to charge rent to those squirrels.

G'day chillouters - my first visit today!
Been out since 8.30 this morning caravan hunting. A close inspection yesterday revealed that the damp in my 1989 Abbey caravan has got worse over this Winter and is now really beyond economical saving/repair.
After about 100 miles of motoring to various dealers, we've found a bone dry Buccaneer - but spent £750 more than the "fixed budget" we went out with this morning
So, we're in for some happy caravanning - but we'll be eating nowt but bread and jam

Bread and jam, sitting in a caravan with a nice cup of tea, not a bad way to spend a day

Thanks Derek - I'm hoping to get 8 years out of it - which will take me to 70, by which time I suspect I won't necessarily fancy caravanning any more
I still enjoy the freedom of eating when I want, sleeping when I want and being totally in charge of my day (when SWMBO lets me ).
There's nowt better on a morning than opening the caravan door and getting the smell of frying bacon wafting across the camp site

Got to agree with that Rod, I was 79 when I sold mine last June

Evening all. Love caravans but prefer to hire the static variety...

Used to love camping to but feeling not shared by anyone in my family. I still have memories from 1973 when we were camping at Sheepcote Valley in Brighton. In the middle of the night My mum settled down on the bucket for a crafty pee outside when she overbalanced and rolled, bucket on botty, down the hill, coming to rest against a tent a few dozen yards down the hill.

Many screams ensued from within the tent, lights popping on all around, with a rather shamefaced, unhurt and embarrassed mother legging it back, hauling her half-mast drawers as she scrambled up the hill...

She insisted on the tent being moved to a more appropriate location for the rest of the week.
