My Restoration Project
Not sure i've posted this here before but thought for some of the older members this might bring back some fond memories.
I took ownership in 2004 of a 1962 Split Screen Pickup shipped over from Arizona. It was damaged in shipping but was reasonably sound body / engine wise. I ripped the electrics out and put in a new loom (for UK Spec) and off we went. It was my daily driver until I got the ZT (between 330d ownership). Well, i'm restoring it now. Here are some pics. Currently with my spraying friend having all the panels dipped, bead blasted and re-sprayed in dove blue lower and pearl white upper with white sign writing (keeping it original). Enjoy Stripping the dash and securing wiring for spraying Door panels removed, etc How am I gonna get this out? Here it comes! 3 bolts removed later I knew my toolbox would come in handy, not that I can get in to it now! Two weeks with me and some 'extra bits' This was after removal of the original front badge Americans love Bondo as much as McDonalds Will keep you posted when she comes back! |

Excellent! A mate of mine has a 72 or 73 camper sitting in his garage awaiting restoration. Unfortunately various problems have prevented him starting it for about five years now!
