New battery bozo question
After 21 years of motoring I'm faced with the first time of replacing the car battery - on the ZTT as it's still on the original after 7 years. Will any 12v car battery do that conforms to the given dimensions? Any recommendations / sources etc?

As above. Do not stick the wrong spec of battery in. The moronic dealer I bought my 75 from did that, car trashed the battery and crystallised acid went everywhere. Made an incredible mess and could have done much more damage had I not spotted it when I did.

Within the context of Brians post!! ie- going to the 'right place' to buy it and get a 'good price'!! As an ex RAC and AA patrolman!! Just remember you get what you pay for!! So a known quality brand/type of the correct size/rating with a decent guarantee is always better than an unknown make - and is always going to be better for your 'peace of mind' !! - let alone your pocket!! Get mine from here http://www.batmanuk.com/ 3 or 4 year g'tee. Not needed to refit my 75 yet but they have been very good on other cars I owned. Whilst it's true you only get what you pay for, remember that included in the price is all the advertising, sales reps and other overheads that large companies have. Feel free to pay for all that, after all, somebody has too.
