Default Where do all the Damson 75s live

Ever since I first saw a Damson 75 in non metallic paint I have thought it the most gorgeous colour. There used to be one that parked a few streets away from me, I have only seen one other since, are they rare or just not many in my neck of the woods. I see lots of later cars in metallic red but never a one in that lovely deep maroon of the earlier cars.

Damson was a colour that I never liked when the cars were new, but I think a well-kept car in that colour looks very striking. Metallics were traditionally far more desirable, hence they sold better.

I see from your location that you are from middle earth, perhaps that's were all the Damson 75's went.

My Y reg 2001 75 CDT classic saloon was in Damson Red - I ordered it in that colour from new, as I thought it looked great, and was quite rare. It reminded me of classic 1960s Rover P5s that I think were made in a very similar colour, with beige/biscuit coloured trim. The car is still alive, and residing in Stanford-le-Hope in Essex - my sister-in-law runs around in it now.

There are two Damson Tourers in my neck of the woods. One is mine and the other I have only seen on the road and never "met"

Mine....

There is a Contemporary SE saloon with Meteors I see parked in Crewe town centre early some mornings. A rare car at the best of times, moreso in Damson Red.

Here's the one in Dawlish on an 02 plate.

Very nice - I do like the colour, which is why I chose it for my first 75 back in 2001. I was looking for some pictures of it, but they are all pre-digital camera era (for me at least), so not postable without lots of messing about. My sister-n-law still runs that car, but the paint has a bit of a haze on it now - it needs a good days work with a clay bar and some cutting compound to get it back to its former glory.
