Grooves are meant to be a better performing disk for road cars, the grooves clean the pads on each pass by skimming them. The skimming of the Pads also helps reduce scoring on the disks. The downside is the skimming process will wear out you pads slightly quicker than un-grooved discs.

As previously stated, drilled disks are supposed to disipate heat but some people suggest the holes lower the surface area of the disc leading to the need for harder braking. In normal road driving, this is supposed to lead to more heat being generated and the advantage of disipating the heat in the first place is lost. There is also an opinion that drilled disks may be more likley to warp under normal driving conditions and are only really suitable for track driving where they are changed much more often or after every race.

I am no expert but someone on the Forum may be better informed and may be able to offer an opinion.

I'm interested as my front discs are warped so urgently need replacing. Was looking at getting these from Ebay but wasn't sure....as it was Ebay but if people here have used them and swear by them then I'm in.

Just as a matter of interest. What was the manufacture of the discs that warped? Common problem on 190 325mm discs.
