Seen aftermarket back-plates advertised on the forum, should come up in a search. Or if the hole where the pin fits through isn't too big due to corrosion, do what I did and use a large diameter washer with a small hole and bend the pin once it's pushed through. I have also seen repair kits on Ebay which come with a specially made washer with the correct groove cut out so the pin slots through and turns in the same fashion as it does on the back plate. I am sure they are made for VW or Ford handbrakes. Try searching Ebay with keywords such as handbrake spring repair kit or something along those lines.

Try something like below (you may need to measure for comparrison, but you get the idea) and put a washer in front of the retaining clip to fill the corrosion gap.
