No problem with with the chequered flag/union flag at all however I have changed my front badge to a Saltire.

Some like to keep things original, others like to personalise. At the end of the day so long as you are happy with how your car looks is all that matters.

It will promote conversation though

Todays ZT's are a long way from being sports cars. Sports cars/tourers have had their day, no place for them on English roads today innit...

When there were no National speed limits, very few cars about, and you could leave your rag top anywhere with no fear of it being vandalised or robbed, sports cars were King ... These days you are better off with a lockable stainless steel box on wheels innit...

A few year's back, someone on an MG TF forum? was selling Saltire & checkered flag badges, seen one on the back of a 75 Tourer last year, looked rather good!

I had a set of these on the ZT when I bought it. I purchased the car on the outskirts of Glasgow and the Union Jack around those parts is heavily linked to Ranges Fc. I assumed the previous owner was either a Celtic supporter or didn't want his car receiving any unwelcome attention from Celtic supporters.

I am a proud Scotsman but decided to take the Saltires off and return the badges to MG original out of respect for the cars heritage.

James, every time I see you I think of Cavalier King Charles Tri's, I also think of our much loved and missed Blenheim "James" affectionately known as Mr Waggy Tail, so out of curiosity, what are you and how come you can drive a car, but non of our Cavaliers can.
