I've changed the MAF (genuine Bosch 029) for a new Bosch 029 with the same results, within spec at idle and a little bit low at 3000rpm (610, when the spec is 650-720). I've check the integrity of the induction system for leaks. My next thing to investigate is turbo boost as like you I've tried the usual culprits. Might be worth temporarily fitting a turbo boost gauge by tapping into the turbo waste-gate actuator hose and see what boost you are getting. That's what I'm going to do and I'm going to fit a manual boost control that is set to 20psi. There is a condition called waste-gate creep, in that the waste-gate in the turbo opens at ever decreasing pressures which is caused by relaxation of the actuator spring which resists induction side air pressure, hence you lose some boost. My low MAF reading at 3000rpm is leading me down the checking of boost pressure. I'm running a 160, so more fuel is injected under hard acceleration, so a top notch induction system, with maximum boost is a must. Brian is on your doorstep, give him a shout. |
