Default Strange hit and run

my sister has been involved in a strange hit and run.

she was at a T junction waiting to pull out and turn right. She pulls out and nearly collides with a car coming from her left that was about to turn right into her road. They both stop, all is ok except my sister is now blocking one side of the road. She looks to her right and there is a car coming and coming and coming and hits/rams her. Catches last 1/4 of off side. She is spun round. Other cars air bags go off and car drives off.

Witnesses say accident could have been avoided by other car but for some reason they did not react. I agree if my sister had been more careful the accident could have been avoided but strange the other car did not react and drove off.

Her car at a value of £200-£300 is a write off.

The only spare'ish car I have is my Tourer and its too big for her and there is no way on gods earth she is getting her hands on my wife's Focus.

The car my sister had was a spare car.

Do you think the non-stopcar maybe stolen/disqualified/no insurance possibly- cant think of any other explanation? Chris.S.

could well be but those all amount to a risk of injury to the other driver or may be they were drunk but if stolen, perhaps they hit her for "fun"

At least there may not be a claim against her

Sounds like the other driver was possibly driving under the influence especially with the failing to react then fleeing the scene.

I hope your sister is ok care can be replaced people can’t.
