The offending part is easy enough to remove and pop into a jiffy bag, and a special delivery via the post office will see you back in business in three days total, so posted on a Monday, you'll be up and running on Wednesday.

Let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks Brian, it's going to take me a bit of time, I'm in my mid 70's with some health issues. I'll have to get my son-in-law to help me. Can I at the moment still drive the car safely and is this definitely the problem because obviously I don't want to lay out money and time and the fault remains. Can I also thank you for your time and advice it is very much appreciated, Allan V

Brian I managed to get it sorted, almost by mistake. The car had been laying around and the battery got quite flat, when I jumped it with my wife's car all the indications fired up, with the proper voltage I guess. I've ordered a new battery, but if it's an intermittent fault, can I get a contact number from you just in case. Many thanks for your help and advice. Regards Allan V
