It seems to me that this sort of comment is exactly what the moderators are trying to avoid.

Since when did the right to object to the mainstream become an crime for which suspects are sought?

As it happens, I can't see what the fuss is about but I'm pretty sure your comment won't have helped.

Corwen, fwiw, I feel for you having been in the situation before, and looking like I'm going to be there again soon

Who said anything about it being a crime?

Why would the mod's object to me taking an educated private guess as to who went crying to them?

I'm sure others have a pretty good idea too.

Just to be clear Mr Geeza...anything I feel I need to say I say on the forum. So, that's one less of your 'usual suspects' for you to worry about.

That said, your comment re 'went crying to them' suggests that you'd be happy with a free-for-all....I would be happy to debate, no-holds-barred
with you regarding attitudes, opinions and views but not here....people come here for a rest from all the miseries of the world don'tchya know..

Well, you made it so when you decided to stir up trouble with your witch hunt of course.

The use of a provocative and belittling term like "the usual suspects" makes it clear that you have absolutely no respect for the opinions of others if they differ from yours.

So, put your money where your mouth is:- Who is on your list of "usual suspects?"

Steady gents - lets not hijack the Ops thread and lets get back on topic

Very sorry to hear of your situation. you have every right to come on hear to vent your anger and frustrations and in my opinion owe no apology. I recently vented my own frustrations about my own current troubles albeit different circumstances and it made me feel somewhat better about things!!

You are right to feel frustrated in that you are being financially restricted in what benefits you receive simply because you have rightly prepared yourself for your impending retirement. That simply doesn't seem right.

It is a sad indictment of the state our country finds itself in today.

I wish you luck in sorting your situation out.

Best wishes

Dave

Free for all?I didn't see any evidence of a free for all.People made perfectly valid points in reply to "the content" of the OP's post.

I'm VERY respectful of others opinions, except where they try to suppress valid points expressed

Indeed you are. I don't think siegfried suggested otherwise. It seems a shame, however, that by your pejorative comment, the inference can be drawn that you deny the entitlement in others.

Then why raise it in a public forum? Perhaps, as has been stated, you are merely trying to cause trouble.

Perhaps, if you wish to reply to this post, you might make your comment to me via PM, rather than continuing to go off topic?
