Power seats retrofit - what to remove from a donor car?
I have a chance to buy a decent set of leather seats (heated) and driver's seat electric adjustment + memory. I should remove these from a donor car (2000 2.5 Automatic) and would like to retrofit them into my second 75 (1.8 manual) with cloth seats - not heated. I expect I need to remove not only seats + electric harnesses, but also some relays, etc. I would like the result to be as good as possible, which means it should be hardly recognizable the seats were not fitted in the factory. As I would like to prevent forgetting anything in the donor car and unnecessary mistakes I would like to ask if anyone does have experience with this upgrade and would give me some advice? I suppose that between LHD and RHD cars there is not much difference.
Thank you for help! |

Might be worth checking to see if you already have the wiring in place in your 75. Many 75's and ZT's have the wiring in place even though electric seats wern't fitted from factory. Look for a large black plug under the seats.

I checked my car and unfortunately found no black plug under the seat. Both cars I speak about are LHD, with no difference between LHD and RHD Ijust meant that Expect the instructions for retrofitting the electric and heated seats do not differ. Thank you.
