2DIN and steering wheel controls
My new Xtrons 2DIN has two leads intended for the steering wheel controls. Is it possible to have them working and if so then which are the leads coming from the wheel to the original radio?

As far as I know the Xtrons units operate on a 5v steering wheel control, the original steering wheel controls in your car operate at 12v.
You'll need an adaptor, Connects2 make them I think. They also do the small loom which plugs in to the adaptor and you connect the three wires coming out, to Key1, Key2 and GND. |

Ive got a Hizpo 2 din unit which uses the same plug loom as a Xtron.
I just wired the cars steering wire direct to the unit and it works fine. Think one wire was wired to the brown wire marked Key 1 and the other of the cars steering wire was wired to the radios earth/ ground. |
