Default Gearbox oil refill?

Do any of you fine gentlemen have any tips, tricks or gadgets to refill the gearbox oil?. I've drained it, but can't for the life of me bend everything to fill it 😎 Any ideas gratefully received.

I use a hand priming bulb off an old Peugeot diesel but you should be able to get a hand primer from somewhere. To this I attach two pipes and fit one in the oil bottle and the other in the gearbox filler. It's a bit slow but does the job.

You must've read my mind Pete, just ordered a Draper hand pump with a 90° bend 👍
Only got just less than 2 litres out, no wonder changes were getting harder

I use onr of the old type opil bottles with a long plastic spout; dribbles a bit but can be wriggled up in the space at the end of the gearbox enough to squeeze the contents out.

I have a small funnel attached to a length of tubing. The end of the tubing goes in the gearbox, the other end is fed up top to the engine bay, into the funnel, then you pour the correct amount of oil in the gearbox. Simples. That is for a manual gearbox.

Thanks Dave, wasn't sure it was accessible from above, but that seems the plan of attack 😎

Yep - I did mine a couple of weeks ago when I did the clutch. I used the funnel and tube method - you can get access if you remove the passenger front wheel.

The filler / drain plugs were ridiculously tight and required a lot of torque to get them undone.
