Default Are rover 75 and MG ZT ZTT front legs the same???

Yesterday i was driving home and a Dog jumped in front of me.

So to save the dog i hit my MG ZTT on the curb causing a big bang to the front left wheel

I stoped to see the damage i could see that i have damged something as the wheel is bent

I took it to an garage and the guy said that the led is bent and needs replacing

i want to know is a rover 75 and a mg zt and mg ztt leg the same??

For next time, from a purely finacial point of view, I expect a new front bumper would work out cheaper than a new strut and having steering aligned.

It seems not. The Part Number for the saloon front strut varies with the springs code. So there are different parts for different springs and for different engines. This variability is repeated on the tourer range. What the variability amounts to I don't know. The damper settings no doubt. To get the part specified by MGR, you'll need the front springs coding. This is printed on a label stuck to the floor under the rear seat cushion.

ZT legs are different as you don't need a spring protector on it

Same goes for Tourers but don't ask me to describe differences.

There are quite a few different components see attached PDF.

I'd check if they mean that. Given the description of the incident, I'd have expected the wishbone to be the first thing to be damaged. They could be calling this a 'leg' and sometimes they are 'arms' as well.

Thanks for your replys guys and yes id this that the wishbone whould be the leg

but iv also noticed that the top of the wheel is rubbing in the leg ( side wall )
so i have parked the car up as i only noticed this when i couls smell rubber

so a new tyre to the list too

the reason i asked was so that if their the same i could go in to a garage and ask for a rover 75 leg not a mg ztt leg as the part bes the same but diffrent prices

or should i try some scrap yards?
Thanks

Sorry to hear of the bump. I would have done the same as you and avoid the dog and damage the car.

I've got a spare set of springs and shocks off a ZT190, if it does turn out it's not the bottom arm.
