I visited Woodchester Mansion last weekend.
It's derelict. It was abandoned before it was even finished. Beautiful place. Woodchester Mansion, Gloucestershire, England. by Philip Davies, on Flickr Woodchester mansion. Near Stroud, Gloucestershire, England. by Philip Davies, on Flickr This shot I couldn't get without catching loads of people. So I edited them out. I'm not completely sure this looks natural. What do you think? I'm still playing with heavy editing. Woodchester Mansion. Derelict building in Gloucestershire, England. by Philip Davies, on Flickr

If your still playing with the editing, why not change the sky to a dark one to give the mansion a haunted and foreboding look, try it in colour or B/W.

Good idea!
I might give that a go later. I'll have to watch some videos as I'm not sure how I can do that without affecting the chimneys.

The second method involves using software, an alternative to Adobe Lightroom called Luminar which has a plug-in of over 100 different skies. How that works is the extra sky is introduced as a layer and brushed into the background with a brush or using a gradient/radial tool......have fun I have used both methods to add drama or to correct a dull and lifeless sky, a little more time consuming Last edited by Gate Keeper; 2nd May 2018 at 07:43.. |

I appreciate your comments and I've had a play. I only use photoshop elements, what do you think?! Is this what you had in mind? Woodchester mansion by Philip Davies, on Flickr
