Default Air intake issue on ZT 260

Having spent a very productive day last Friday Nov 1st with Rick Bhullar, I now boast vastly improved projector headlights and a very satisfying blue glow from the interior. Basically most of the lights upgraded with LED's. Opening the boot feels like the sun is rising, so many thanks to Rick for his hard work and excellent conversion.
However, during the process of dropping the front to get at the lights, I discovered the large air intake clip was terminally corroded and the only thing holding up the air filter enclosure was it resting on a hose. On the other side of the 'u' bend was a large gap just under the MAF sensor, so much of the air being drawn in can't be coming through the air filter. I drove back from East London to Cornwall through torrential rain and heavy traffic on the next day loving the lights but very nervous about all that road water splashing around. Apparently I'm also missing an undertray. The car actually ran very well, but not good longer term to leave it like this. Rimmer brothers don't seem to stock the parts I need. Has anyone got any suggestions. I don't mind upgrading to something different. And incidentally, what is the rectangular box sticking out at the bottom of the 'U' bend?
