Was actually two days ago now but after a friend came for a spin in my Cowley he kind of fell in love with them so i took him to look at a filthy gold connie that was for sale and tonight i popped over to see him and he has her home and washed at least so that's another saved and another addict created ... He'll be joining the club soon

Fit my Jules plenum guard and cable tied the bonnet pull splitter to make it more secure. Much happier as it was quite loose to start with.

Fitted new rear tyres today, it’s been a very needy car this month.

Cowley V6, Also repaired and refitted the high level brake light which had previously been "repaired" by sticking the mounting to the glass with a rubbery glue (didn't work) so used Araldite today (see how that goes!).

The way i read a v5,is if you put a personal number on your car,the original number, desirable or not is kept by dvla so they put can put it back on original car if you move your personal plates on to another car.

Drove it just over 400 miles, and it consumed 3/4 of a tank of fuel
I am going to fit the Serpents tomorrow, and see what it looks like, then take off the tyres from the 11 spokes to get the wheels refurbed. I suspect once the tyres come off, they will never be fitted to another car, as despite being four months old, they have to be the absolute worst tyres for road noise I've ever experienced in my life, for anyone interested they are Landsail And they will be replaced with THESE So apart from the buzzing from the light oak dash, and the deafening roar of the tyres, it was quite a nice journey Brian |
