Default Black circle tyres

After reading alot of threads about tyres recently i though id give Black Circles a call and buy a half decent dunlop. On their web site 43 pounds sounded very reasonable until they told me the total bill .
It had jumped to 54 pounds !!
The friendly sales girl explained it was the carriage that bumps up the cost. If i then include the cost of fitting at a local tyre fitter ,another 12 pounds is added on top .Im left with a bill of 66 pounds.
My local tyre fitter can match this price anyway so i really don't see the benefits of shopping at Black Circle.
I pointed out to the sales rep, that the web site gives you the impression that the price you see is the price you pay. There is a picture of the tyre you want with all the ratings and price £43 for it and then in bold blue writing it says delivered. To me this means, the overall cost including delivery.
Even at the bottom of there web page they make the point of saying Fully Inclusive prices and no hidden charges.

.
The prices are not inclusive and there is a hidden charge as your only told the full price just before you pays your money.
I know some of you may disagree with me
on this but they could at least be a little more transparent on their price structure. This could quite easily catch some people out if there not to careful.
Right I've had my rant of the day so its time to be nice again lol :-):-):-)

Just had 5 tyres for my Freelander and the price on the screen was the price I paid. No hidden charges or extras, had the same with my ZT a couple of months back when I had a couple of tyres for the rear.

Very pleased with the price and service.

I just got a price from Black Circles, showed it to the manager of my local tyre place and asked if he could match it.

He did, which was good as I would prefer to give them the business.

Always worth a try, I think, when buying tyres.

Well just to balance this thread, as most of you know, I work in the Trade and couldn't buy tyres as cheap Trade, as I could buy them from Blackcircles!

They were delivered to a local tyre company and they took really good care of fitting them to my newly refurbished wheels!

I also took advantage of their 12 month payment plan (which suited my circumstances) and have to say that I would class myself as a satisfied customer!

So what happens if you stop paying the "tick" on your tyres Mark?

I could imagine it a little inconvenient to come out in the morning to find Ed sitting on bricks

I have just had four new tyres fitted,
Checked out black circle tyres all in price sent to local tyre fitter ,fitted balanced etc.
As this was the tyre place I usually use I popped along same tyre deal.
£20 a wheel cheaper.Now that is a saving.

Beaten locally (like 1 mile away, always handy) when I asked about budgets and I didn't even tell them what the quote was.

I'll ask again when I decide what to put on the Meteors but I expect they'll beat that too..

I do have to keep reminding them not to use hammer on weights though which is annoying..

I've just been doing some calling around at my local tyre dealers today and i have managed to get the same tyre brand fitted for 8 pounds less than buying it through black circle.

Just tried black circles site, as I had used them before and could not remember extras being added on

As long as you select fully fitted on the first page, then you get a quote "all in"

I can only think that the OP selected delivered instead and then had to add fitting on

Or did you get a quote over the phone?

I have always found black circles competitive in the past, along with tyreshopper I think....
