Default CD multichanger

i recently bought the harmony cd multichanger with the radio but i already have the radio exactly the same so im going to just leave mine in.

i was hoping to put it in either the glovebox or the boot, but i expected a great big wire when it turned up but in reality the wire on the multichanger is 8"

should my car have a sockets to plug this in, or do i have to buy another lead that will then reach to the back of the radio unit its self?

if i need to buy a wire thats not a problem but wheres the easiest place to get one?

im wanting to fit it today if possible.

going to take it to the factory clear a space and give it a full service!

ill be on and off all day looking at the best way to do various things, also going to try and buy a rod to clean the plenums

big bump, i still havnt fitted the multichanger and have just gone to look at it.

i have fitted the changer in the glove box but i cant find the wire i am supposed to plug it into??

i expected it to be taped or clipped to another wire close to where it needs to be but cant fine one at all. the only plug i have found say amp on it so guessing thats something else.

is it possible the car doesnt have one? even though it has the philips harmony HU with the CD button attached to it?

Thanks

matt

check behind the moulded carpet in the boot on the driver's side, that's where mine was.
(mine had the changer fitted there though)

Don't know if this will help but it may point you in the right direction.

The wiring is very likely only present if a changer was factory fitted as it hooks into the vehicle's K bus.
