Default AVON Tyres - Good Value for Money?

AVON AV ZV3 91V

http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk/ts/sea...de=1956515AV3V

Anyone Familiar with these tryes ?

I have used AVON Tyres before and found them to be good VFM.

However, that was on a Rover 214i and not a heavy 75 !!

£52:00 Fitted per tyre.

Is it a Good Choice?

I've got Avon ZZ3 225 - 45 - 18 on my ZT 190. I'm very pleased with them...... and always use Avon Tyres on my motorbike too.

They generally wear well, give good grip - and are competitively priced

Thanks

Will go with Avon I think. I never had prob's on the 214i and they did last well, gave good grip and where not too noisy.

At £52 they are not badly priced either - That Price including Fitting etc

Don't know about Avon on cars, but the Avon was the most effective tyre on my topped up 1200cc Suzuki Bandit. Reasonable performance at a good price point. Of course, they could not compete with a Pirelli, but since the lasted twice as long as the Pirellis and only cost half, they were a good deal. Loved them.

I had the ZZ3's last year, nice and sporty look ing but not great wearing - got about 12K from them, so this year I got a new set of ZV3, harder wearing I have been told and still got the rim protection for the alloys. Done about 3K so far

Been using Avons for a few years after my usual tyre fitting company's newest recruit said " If they are good enough for Rollers on leaving the factory, enough said"

I used avons on my Rs Turbo many years back and haver stuck with them since.

I had zzv on my Bmw 3 series a couple of years a go and they were quiet, lasted well, and protected the rims a bit too(from the wife!)

Michelin are the best ofcourse, but Avons are much better vfm, and i will be putting four on my 75 asap!

Coincidentally i went the full hog on my old Bmw a 2000 W reg, and had the suspension aligned correctly. I was amazed by the difference in the feel of the car, money well spent.
