Default Heater Fan

Can anyone help just driven home and noticed the heater/ac fan not working , when I press the a/c button light come on but goes out when button released I have'nt checked anything yet but thought someone may come up with a suggestion before I have a poke around (rover 75 uplift cdti classic)

Sorry not thinking properly, is it the heater fan not running or the A/c fan not working?

The heater fan is not working but also the a/c does'nt seem to work , does thew a/c not work because the fans not working ??

Have you checked the fan relay in the fusebox ?
(the fusebox under the bonnet)

I think it is relay R5 ?? can anyone please confirm

From memory, it's the yellow relay nearest the front of the car.
If you swap it with a similar one, I think the one for the rear window de-mister is the same, you may then only need to buy a new relay.

just got back and the interior light also not working either with switch or when doors opened , both faults intermittent and when working both work and when not neither work definetly connected not make sense to me but correct everything else electrical ok ????
