John & Lee are two great blokes and will help in any way they can to give you the colour you want and the best finish they can give, have a good chat with them if you decide to use their services.
Steve, I,m taking some Hairpins down next week hopefully.
Do the tyres have to be removed and how long does the refurb take?

The refurb will take at least three days unless you want a quicker turn round which will cost extra, I left my tyres on as they will remove them refit and balance them for £30 each wheel as opposed to £20 with out the wheels, but then you still need to have the tyres fitted and balanced, so you may as well leave them on so they can sort it in one go.

Unless your tyres are not staying on and you need to purchase some others let me know which day and maybe we can meet there cheers Arctic

Have they got lacquer on top?
I had some Rover 800 wheels done few years back but the lacquer cracked after 6 months.................it was a young company though.

Let's hope it doesn't happen to your Meteors.
Let us know how they weather in say a years time

Or these if you live in Essex, though not for £20 a wheel..

Maldon area http://ctc-powder-coating.co.uk

Basildon area http://www.vulcanshotblastingbasildon.co.uk/

Using Maldon currently for my TL1000 at the moment they have the wheels for a candy electric blue, not unlike the anodised blue you get on bling parts

I have used Vulcan in the past for my Morini 500, Frame & wheels done by them..

Hi Jules,
yes they are laquered on the front but not on the inside,
I'm going to have new tyres put on then I will polish and wax
all the exposed parts to help protect them.
I won't put them on the car until the spring though as the Crowns
have nearly new Goodyears on them.

Hi Jules.
The straights on my MG ZT were refurbed over 2yrs ago now as you can see from the pics note the last two I took just now and still look like I picked them up yesterday, fully lacquer coated well chuffed and will keep taking my wheels there until I see any other reason not to my opinion only but a photo never lies Arctic

So they did the gunmetal effect on your Apex alloys? That looked a nice job.
