Could easily be one of your door or bonnet sensors teetering on the edge of being on or off. Might need a slight adjustment of the strikers.

Hi Graham, have you looked at the bonnet switch on the slam panel With all the rain you've had, it may have become a little damp

when you're driving look for the open bonnet warning light coming on momentarily, that's all it'll take to set the alarm off, happens to mine when I splash through too many puddles

Spray it with WD 40.

That can often stop the water from getting in to it.--

my guess is that it's a push to break switch, so just disconnecting it should trick the car into thinking the bonnet is permanently closed, I "fixed" mine by putting a few thick layer of duct tape on the striking plate where it meets the bonnet so that it depresses the switch further

Took the bonnet switch off and cleaned it but still didn't work, so as it was late I just left the car unlocked. Went out this morning for work and tried locking/unlocking the car off the fob and it worked perfect and is still working ok now
