Today i had someone driving so close they could have been able to count the hairs on my head! This person was on my drivers side rear quater so i did what i always do - slow down. This didnt work! So i sped up, but it was soon back! So i resorted to shock treatment - and you have to be careful doing this - i breaked hard. I find this usually works but no not in this case. 3 times i tried it before pulling over to let them pass before there was an accident.

Then i found myself behind a car going 25 in a 40 zone (on a road that really should be 60) on his phone. This really drives me potty! Plod never around when you need them lol.

And on my return journey again i found myself behind someone more interested in updating some form of social media than the green traffic lights

No wonder my blood pressure is high

Being a truck driver I see it all every day
So I wouldn't know we're to start.

But I will say the best one I've ever seen was a young lady painting her toe nails while sat in traffic
Roof was down short skirt no knickers.

Nothing personal Alan, truck drivers are considered knights of the road, most are but one yesterday certainly wasn't! Nearly took the nose off my ZT diving out to overtake another truck (no indication) as I was coming up to overtake him.

2 absolute wallys yesterday.

Red transit van cut in front of me on the M56, nearly hit me, then slammed on his brakes cos he realised it was 50mph zone, even though i was doing 50mph! i kept my distance then overtook- he was on his mobile.

Lady i was behind yesterday night in heavy local traffic put her handbrake on every time we stopped, whether that be for 2 mins or 2 secs. It was like driving behind a rocking horse!

I routinely have to put up with drivers doing 30mph on the motorway as they come off to go to manchester airport- they dont seem to realise that the M56 merges via a slip road that is still part of the motorway so you have people doing 30mph preparing to come off the motorway and around a corner that is still motorway. Does my nut in!!

Every day lowers the driving standards bar for me - I see all sorts of numpties here.
- On the phone
- Pulling out at very short notice, and then pottering along at 25MPH in a 40 zone
- Pottering in general, for example 30MPH on an arrow-straight, good condition NSL road

I won't go on, I'll end up needing to sit in a dark room!

pulling into the outside lane of any multi lane road (note I didn't say pulling out, as normally there is nothing in front of them to pull out from) then sitting at 40 or 50 in a 70 or 30 in a 50. they don't even notice the tail of cars behind building up. they then expect you to break the law and undertake, aargh!

I understand they may be nervous or inexperienced, but they should either not drive on those roads, or learn how to correctly and safely.

I do have theories on these drivers. 1. they cannot see their left corner of the car to judge the road correctly, in which case they shouldn't be driving. 2. they are foreigners, albeit driving a right Hooker, in which case they should learn the local traffic rules before driving a car.

I don't want to come across as sexist, but 90 per cent of these offenders are women, with the other 10 per cent male German car drivers maintaining 70 MPH, but still inside lane is empty!

On a similar vein to clf, middle lane morons.
If there's nothing in the inside lane, move back over! A personal pet hate.

I had someone on another forum argue for sitting in the middle lane - the world is full of daft. Luckily everyone else soon set him straight!
Nothing worst than having to go L1 > L2 > L3 > L2 > L1 just to overtake an idiot that doesn't know how to use a motorway.
