My £1.50 solution to the poor boot light!
One of the few things that bug me about my ZT is the poor boot light. One small light in the middle of a large area is not enough for my liking.
A few weeks ago I bought some of these from eBay China: They are 3W SMD LED's, on a screw. The head is about 15mm. £1.51 including shipping. Came in around 15 days. I have ordered a few more pairs too! There are 2 square holes each side of the boot that are the perfect size to put the thread of these through and tighten the nuts up. The wires can then be ran across the panel and to the area of the original light. I then split the wires and connected these LEDs to the original light power supply. The result is this: Now that's better! Really bright and at £1.50 it's one of the easiest and cheapest mod's I've ever done! I will happily create a How-To if there is interest. Andy
