Brand new or not, you may have been unfortunate to have a PCB or glow plug problem.
The FBH is new, but he tried a used PCB in case the original might have been defective.

Default End of Saga

This morning I earthed Pin 3 on the 98570B PCB and it fired up and ran a full cycle, also on Pin 1. I reinstalled the original 98570D PCB and it also fired up and ran full cycle on Pin 1T but not Pin 3. PUZZLED BUT PLEASED

Next step to fit Webasto 1533 Timer!

Many thanks for all helpfull posts.

Special thanks to Trebor for his invaluable help and experience:

Glad you got it sorted Ray, sounds like you have 2 different PCBs, the Freelander FBH fires from pin 1 instead of pin 3,the 75 is the opposite

Just lockout then. After 3 failed start up attempts, the PCB will lockout any start up attempts until the PCB is reset through disconnection, which you did when you removed it, and put it back. Same with the used one you tried, that was probably locked out also because of a faulty glow plug.
