All the insides are ok no broken bits just the adjustment up and down knob missing please can anyone tell me if the bulbs go dim before failing as the drivers side has gone dimmer than the passenger

Had a look at mine yesterday - the blue adjuster wheel has dissappeared from the left hand up/down adjuster (I found the white bit wedged down by the intercooler hose). The rod coming out from the light moves in and out freely, so if I could get hold of a replacement I guess I could glue it on. Otherwise I'll have to look for another way to fix the rod at the right position.

Ive used a thick rubber washer to hold it in place for now until i get both parts of the knob

In other words, yes they do go dimmer as they age.
