I know it's a very emotive subject, and we're paying high prices & some people & companies are really feeling the pain, but do these petitions really do any good?
For every 1p rise in tax on fuel realises £500,000pa for the Treasury. With the state of the public finances I can see the motorist being a cash-cow for a good while to come. Petition signed anyway!
