Thanks flyer. You've just reminded me that i need to replace the gas fire in our living room. It's disconnected at the moment, but still in place on the hearth. I've got to replace it with an electric one, and i'd completely forgotten about it. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.

coal fires are eco friendly, you throw everything in the fire and it saves space in the bin lol also less i.d theft as again all letters etc got burnt

why not replace it with a big logburner , you and MO could curl up in front of it and get all romantic like .

yep and in my case i heated my house for years on free wood .
