Default BBUS swap using TOAF

Evening all.

Looking to retrofit a mk1 headlight washer setup. Any suggestions on what ZCS coding is needed to swap out the BBUS using TOAF please?

Thanks in advance.

Hope it works as it'll be noisy as hell if it doesn't go right first time!

You dont have to coding zcs,

Just go to bcu coding
Look for alarm and sounder options
You will find there 2 points to setup

In the first one setup third option
And in the second option below, setup fourth option

Sorry but I don't remember exact name of options.

You can try without bbus connected this will guarantee silence during configuring.
After saving configuration. Turn off ignition and try if headlights washer work.

And also check if you remote lock your car and tried to open it from inside. If turn lights will flash.. If yes, then connect bbus and everything should be ok.

I'm afraid I'm a 10 on the mightily relieved scale!

There has been massive damage done to the traders on here in loss of revenue etc which considering these guys have been the backbone of this community and pay the club to advertise their services , just isn't fair !

The TOAF guys have been asked time and time again to sign up as traders but have declined to do so, not even going as far as being subscribed members.

They state it is because their product is 'Free' and use the donate facility to say they aren't being paid, but you have to donate to 'unlock certain features'

Most of us recognise that the idea and product is a good thing but certainly not the way they have gone about peddling it out on here.

They have their own forum and they are on Facebook so if anyone wants their product it's still readily available on those platforms .

I think you will find that we run the very real risk of any remaining traders leaving the fold if this type of thing happens again.
It really is a case of 'use them, or lose them'!

Joking aside, I have no problem, and I do mean no problem with TOAF, simply the fact that they were trying to circumvent the trader system on this forum.

There has to be a level playing field for all, and despite the fact that the TOAF chaps seem to think that anyone with a T4 is simply "milking" fellow owners, I don't bear them any malice whatsoever.

I don't need to use TOAF, for any reason personally for obvious reasons, however not everyone is in as fortunate a position as me to have access to T4.

Both systems can (and should) be able to run alongside one another in complete harmony, but there needs to be an attitude change for that to happen

I rather think though that enough has been said on the subject for the time being

Yes this is true I do miss the Commercial Members Lounge decor, but I'm quite happy at the moment not being bombarded with a squillion PM's Rich

Blimey - got quite excited when I logged on tonight and saw 3 pages of responses to my initial post - little did I release that WWW3 had broken out (again) on the back of my post.

Sorry if I have offended any registered traders or long standing members- my post was made in the search for a simple answer....I have made contact with Phil-T4 and will get my BBUS swapped out on the proper manner.

Neil
