Have you bled it or are you just pumping the pedal?
It will never harden with air trapped in the system so you need to bleed it properly. |

pedal is as soft as without the master cylinder installed, so i need to losen the bleeding nipple then start pumping? there's no pressure at all i have to pull back the pedal with my hand as it won't come up by itself

With the quick fit disconnected your pedal must be hard (master side test )
