CD-32 CD Changer Compatibility

Hello Chaps,
I am swapping my Iovox CD-80 for a factory Blaupunkt CD-32 head unit and it all works apart from the CD changer which doesn't come up on the stereo as a mode. The manual for the commercial version of the CD-32 implies that it is only compatible with Blaupunkt CD changers, is this the case with the Rover ones as well? I wonder if the pinout is slightly different, I found a diagram for the Blaupunkt but can't find anything for the Iovox.

I've tracked down some pin-outs. I read that the Iovox CD-80 has the same configuration as the Symphony head units so supposing that is right, the image on the left is apparently the symphony layout. The image on the right is the layout for the commercial version of the Blaupunkt CD-32 that I have installed.
Assuming the diagrams are correct, it seems there is certainly some swapping to do if they are even compatible at all. I would appreciate any help over it!

One problem is that the Rover system uses the K-Bus for the control communication between the head unit and the CD changer, it doesn't use a direct connection that other systems use. If you look at your two diagrams, the Rover one only has the audio output, live feed, earth, and K-Bus connection.

Yes, based on the diagrams they don't seem compatible at all. I don't see why Rover would supply the blaupunkt head unit if it needed its own specific changer to go along with it. Unless either the blaupunkt unit supplied to Rover was customised and different from the commercial version or they only fitted it to cars without a changer which seems the most likely.

The CD changers fitted to Rovers are modified to use the K-Bus to communicate with the head unit, rather than a direct connection. Because of that, they will only work with a Rover head unit.

It's a factory-fitted head unit and displays 'Rover' when it's turned on but I've seen a few people talk about having a blaupunkt changer in the 75 so I think if you had this head unit they fitted one of those to make it compatible.
