Recommendations for child seat?
Hi all. Hoping someone may be able to assist. Just upgraded my five year old daughters car seat and got a britax kidifix 2 XP. Fits my wife's 05 Focus perfectly once I'd fitted the Ford isofix kit. However it's not ideal in the Zed (Saloon) as it sits too far into the squab, with the back being at at nearly 90 degrees so not that comfy. I toyed with the idea of sticking a lump of timber behind it but thought might not be quite the right thing to do. Anyone got any ideas? Be ideal to fit isofox kit but again, I'm not convinced drilling holes in the floor pan and using some big flat washers and a couple of bolts out of the raggy @rse bolt tub is acceptable. Any advice greatfully received. Thank you!

I understand the problem. I wanted a child car seat for my Tourer to take my baby granddaughter around with us. I really really wanted a ISOfix one, but as we know, they are just not possible. In the end I bought the Britax First Class Plus. It has a bottom which is designed to fit well on the seat and can face either forwards or backwards. I know it doesn't answer your question, but if there are any other Granddads out there in the same predicament, I can recommend this particular seat for our cars.
