Default Heated mirrors

On my last zt the wing mirrors used to get hot but on the zt I've got now they don't warm up at all.

Are there heated and non heated versions or will there be something wrong with them?

Tilt the mirror glass downwards, this will reveal the spade connectors,Clean the contacts and this should eliminate the problem.

The two connections are two different metals which result in oxidisation, which prevents a good connection.

That is a good tip - must check mine before winter!

I assume they only activate at near freezing or 8 degrees?

The mirrors are constantly heated with the ignition on,so I suppose the elements do have a rather hard life.Mirror glass is available on eBay should the elements burn out,but the contacts are the first port of call.

Just checked the connections and they are as clean as a whistle so not that.

Guess the elements in both mirrors must of gone

Mine have never worked in the 7 years of ownership.

Can't say it's ever bothered me! Just lived with it.
