Horn "pip" Any ideas?
Hi all,
A bit of a strange one this, quite often, but not always, when I turn my engine off, the horn give's a little "pip". To begin with I thought I'd caught the horn button, so I made sure the next time I switched off that my hands where no where near, but it still did it. I know that if the boot is open, when you lock the car the horn gives a little "pip" to let you know something is wrong, so this is the first thing I checked, but all was shut. Any one got any ideas please?

It is a result of pressing the lock button on the keyfob inadvertently, when you are removing the key from the ignition, the "pip" being the mislock warning sound from the alarm horn
There you go, another bit of useless knowledge dredged up from the dark recesses Brian |

Mine has been doing the pipping on and off for years now.
If It stopped I think I'd miss it.-- I've checked and everything is locked. PS. Oh they all do that Sir it's a Rover 75.--- |

I'll live with it. As long as it's not the sign of something about to pack up!
