I have one of these and it does everything I ask of it.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dremel-3000...HPM6Z9V7ZSH015

Also have a Silverline one which about 4.99 and it was still a rip off. Had it replaced under warranty and it's still rubbish. Horrible brand of tools.

I did see that, and was tempted, especially as it was the cheapest, but I've ended up ordering the slightly more power 4000 series, at what seems a reasonable price: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dremel-4000...ds=dremel+4000

Free next day delivery if I signed up to a 30 day free trial of amazon prime... This must be about my 4th free trial of prime now...

The flexible drive is a must have, it is so useful I only use it with this attached.

The other good Dremel extra is the quick release metal cutting discs, quite expensive but well worth it in my view.

I own a corded Dremel and I findit very useful for polishing, cutting, etc for both jobs on the car and diy household jobs. I would say it is one of the more useful tools I have purchased and I have more than got my moneys worth.

Default GMC 135w

I'm looking at buying a GMC 135w corded one off eBay.
It's just over £20.
Going to use it to clean up FBH and it's component and cut power wash holes in the front bumper.

I have a maplin own brand tool which came with a huge array of accessories. The tool itself is excellent and has the flexi adaptor, and to be fair most of the discs are pretty good too.
The only letdown is the cutting discs.....they break as soon as you look at them.
Not a bad set for £30.00 though.

i'd recommend get the Dremel Speedclic system with these discs, i find them pretty durable and ten times better than the usual thin black cutting discs (usually held on by a screw) that snap/shatter as soon as you look at them
