Angry more woes :(

Having put quite a lot of effort into getting my ZT running I now have issues with the central locking. It unlocked fine this morning but wont lock using the fob it just make a single beep.
Ive checked the plenums and they are bone dry, opened and shut all the doors including bonnet and boot. The battery is ok and Ive tried using the spare key all to no avail.
Looking on the net its a common fault but nobody seems to have a firm answer as to how to fix it so I'm hoping one of you guy can point me in the right direction.

Likely to be one of the door actuators is frozen, let us know what type of passenger compartment fusebox you have, and I'll let you know which fuse is likely to have failed

I've had this problem twice in the last few weeks. On both occasions it sorted itself out once the temperature rose a bit. Hopefully yours will do the same.

Same here, I turn the heater to max, then just wait a couple of minutes, sorted.

Mine doesn't like the cold either. The doors are ok but the boot won't close once it's been opened if temps are low. Can't see any reason for it. Pops open as normal just won't latch closed. Eventually, after much banging it will catch..... most times. If not you end up driving with the boot open light on the ipk.

As per another thread

Give all the door locking mechanisms (inc. boot) a good dousing with WD40 to repel any water thats in there, causing these issues and then once that's dried off, follow up the same but this time with lithium grease

WD do both in cans with a fixed spray straw nozzle and they work really well

However, your bonnet sensor could be at fault as well... Don't rule that out!

I had this last week after I fitted my GSM relay for the FBH.

When I queried the electronics, they showed "locking error - key at aux"

Turned out that one of the SPDT relays I'd ganged together for the heater controls wasn't very well built and was internally shorting, passing 12V back into the auxilliary circuits and the car thought the key was at "aux".

May well not be your problem, but it's another one to try.
