O/s rear indicator problem
Hi all.
I have a 75 2.0cdti saloon. The O/S rear indicator is a problem. The bulb is fine, I've replaced the whole light bulb holder for a new one, placed the bulbs back but this problem persists. When you go to turn right you put the indicator on and it flashes double speed. All other bulbs are fine by the way. So I look at the rear and if I slightly move the holder the bulb comes on, if I then close it away and move again it works then drive a bit further and it double flashes again... I've checked wiring and if you wiggle the wires nothing happens so connector and wires are fine, it seems just the housing area is an issue. Can anyone throw light on this as it's now doing my head in... thanks |

Yes it's just the indicator issue, all other bulbs are working fine, no shirt if you put foot on the brake or reverse... it's just the indicator issue, works then double flash, jog or move the holder and it comes back on properly, then goes again.... |

Is the front indicator working OK?
+ check the earth lead to the body for corrosion.

have you tried the electrical connector where it plugs in the lamp unit?
i had this and the pins were corroded. switch cleaner and a scrap then all fine.. also if you have access to a volt meter would check the 12volt supply to the lamp.. |
