Master & Commander - just been on C4 tonight.
The best naval battle scenes ever filmed. Hugely impressive. (The DVD is even better). |

All these Napoleonic/naval authors nicked the idea from Hornblower but this film is near perfect.
It's bang on for ship detail & accuracy and those battle scenes would have taken a massive effort to shoot. They even got the flying splinters down to a T. An awesome piece of filming. |

Got it on DVD, excellent. First saw it on a Virgin atlantic flight to Barbados, made the flight seem quicker!:lol:
