How Can This Be??????
Hi guys, i will get straight to the point. My ass got beat by a rover 216 gti today. How is this possible? it was a white one with a bunch of youths in it. i mean it didnt fly away but i was having a hard time keeping up with it. Is my 75 underpowered or am i just a rubbish driver?

I think a Rover Ron Synergy 2 is on the books for this.

Rover 216 GTI = 111.93 bhp/ton
Rover 75 Diesel is either (standard) 116 or 131 bhp. IIRC the 75 weighs in at almost 1.5 tons. Those 216 GTIs can move!

It all depends on which 216 GTI.! Now Rover produced two variants, a 116bhp single cam and a rather juicy 132bhp twin cam, now from memory the former was fast, I had one, the latter was faster than the 220GTi version, its engine ( both in facy) where from Honda, and they revred to over 7000rpm.!, so being lighter in the first instance than the R75 you really had'nt a chance.
