But what about the foreign manufacturers who built their factories in the UK to reduce import duties etc to Europe, eg Honda? Will they now upsticks to elsewhere?

No doubt, some will if their are tarriff barriers, but as has been said - if they put tarriff barriers in place, we can do the same, which will hammer the German car makers.

Anyone want to buy a car factory cheap?

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

The difference between personal experience and statistical items is often enormous. Psychologists name this phenomenon the human advance towards biases.

Default Independence Day

A father taking his 10 year old son on a walk through a summer meadow on his birthday 23-6-2026:

Daddy, daddy, what did you do, when Blighty sailed away?
With a clap and a cheer, I raised a beer, John Smith’s with a head up to here.
Daddy, daddy, what did you see, when Blighty sailed away?
Our friends on the mainland son, waving goodbye, and I thought I saw some cry.
Daddy, daddy, what did you feel, when Blighty sailed away?
Free again, Free, Free my son Free, to master our own destiny.

Best thing that could of happened.

Nothing will change for about 2yrs as per the original treaty.

It's time the people of this country decided it's own destiny rather than relying on the bureaucrats in Brussels.

It's far better to trade with approximately 8 billion rather than just 508 million.

I remember when David Heath took us into the Common Market as it was called then, plus all the changes that affected me as a young man.
Buying petrol for my car at 75p per gallon which soon changed to paying per litre.

We adopted some things thankfully we kept our currency!

I look forward to what will happen in the future and where this will lead us.

I've seen quite a few comments on twitter this morning about the younger generation saying It's the old daily express generation that's screwed their futures up. It's not the 1950's any more etc.

Predominantly - just a threat to have us vote remain, the British public saw through the threat. How many other countries are the EU going to threaten when they suggest having a referendum? There are lots more of the wealthier countries considering out now, this morning, as a result of our vote.

I think one thing that was not stated strongly enough before the vote was the real effect on the economy of a leave vote.

This morning at work (Renault Truck dealership) the cost of our parts from France have risen by 10% - and who knows what will happen when they have to start charging us 22.5% VAT - which of course they don't do at the moment- VAT that we will not be able to reclaim......

Just one small observation.

Les
