I'd certainly consider one at a knockdown price, wouldnt be my first choice if spending £17,000 + on a new car

I must admit it is growing on me too! A diesel saloon, provided the diesel engine is good, should be a very good car! When they are a couple of years old, will be good value too.

can't say i'm overly keen, and if it was'nt for the badge i doubt it would even get a 2nd glance.
it looks like one of many others out there, boring and bland.

Wow.....At that price, i think i would have one and providing reliability is proven (no reason why it should'nt be) it will be a cracking used buy......

My Dad and I went for a test drive in one a couple of weeks ago. It is certainly a more common design than the 75 was, but then that's the point I guess.

It was nice to drive, handled well, and a comfortable interior. Just the engine in my opinion that let it down.

The one above looks smart. Really needs something special engine wise though.

The 1.8T engine is interesting. In a few years there should be some uprated spares to help keep our 75 1.8s on the road.

nope , china and mg say it won't be coming. after the diesel next year the car will get a 2.0 turbo petrol and facelift in 2013 and the price will go up about £3k so that the mg5 can fit in the range between it and the small mg3
