Decided to polish the headlights on the KV6 Connie up this morning. Used the Autoglym kits finishing cream to get them nice and shiny after using solvol autosol on a tooth brush yesterday to get rid of most of the degradation on the lens. Be able to see where I am going when I get it on the road now. Only got to do the same to the diesel now..

I retired last Friday so that saved $600. will come in handy.
The wife says I have to be more responsible with my car expenses-pity!

A job I've put off for some time, the passenger front door interior pull where a friend I'd given a lift to a couple of months back, pulled the escutcheon almost adrift.
So along with the discovery of some new fir tree clips, I tackled the job, then got a bit carried away, and fitted some other bits I found during the hunt for the clips. The door now shuts with a satisfyingly solid clunk, and no flappy door card Brian |

Yes David, well spotted! Lesson learned....😳 Even though it has a superb handbrake (Brian to thank) I do tend to leave it off, if parked up for a while. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got this tube from Trago Mills Newton Abbot a couple of years ago. Strange but I used to use it on my first motorbike, a 150 cc BSA Bantam in the fifties. I ‘tuned’ it up by putting a piece of cork up above the Conrod in the piston, and took the gasket out between the barrel and head. I was always replacing the cork segments in the clutch. Used to go like a little noisy rocket.( took the baffles out the exhaust). My mate still reckons he could hear me coming from half a mile away. They were my ‘naughty’ days. But Solvol Autosol not only polishes aluminium, it does the same for stainless steel, copper, brass, and is just the job for polishing those air con pipes in the engine bay.
