I feel this is a good course of action whenever resolved in this fashion.

Thankfully paypal's fees my be large, but they serve a good purpose as proven here.

have only just read this thread today. does anybody know this guys ebay name ?.
i also thought i had bought a pair of hologen projector lights, this was sometime around the last week of may.
before i made a bid i sent the seller an email to tell him i would not be able to pay for item untill the 6th june, he replied ok so i made a bid.

when we got back from holiday the 5th june i checked ebay and saw i had won item for £140, on the 6th my wife was about to pay by paypal when she noticed an email saying one of the headlamps had been damaged after the sale,
so the story goes the lights were still on his car when he had suffered a road traffic accident.

all of this may just be a coincidence, i can't remember his ebay name but i will recognise it if somebody can tell me.

thankyou pete.

Hello Peter!

I bought via paypal, but not from ebay, so I don't know his ebay's nick.
But the invoice was sent from the e-mail: [email protected].
Merchant: natasha greenwood. (see the picture)

May be this could help you.
Check your paypal invoice for sellers e-mail and sellers name.

Good luck!
