I have found around 70-75mph is actually the best...returning an average of around 55 - 60mpg at this speed.....going slower doesnt help...mine actually uses more at 55mph. odd.

set the cruise control for best results...if no cruise...then concentrate hard on maintaining the same speed.....speeding up and down uses a lot more fuel.

Best ever distance on one tanks was 611miles.....cant remember what that was in mpg...think it was 63.

611 miles...Thats enough distance to drive from calais to the south coast of france in one hit....amazing.

Well I'm back and yes I spent a little more time on the M5 sitting in lane 2 with my engine off and my driver's door opened admiring the views over the seven bridge, but I did blast on the way home manging to avoid the M4 and the M25, I went straight up the M5 to Birmingham then over to the M6 then up to the A14 then all the way into Ipswich which was about 330 miles (over 600mile round trip) and done it just a little over 5 hours, she is a real pleasure to drive, further more I was archiving over 30MPG
