Is nobody valeting their cars?

Am I the only mad one valeting the car at this time of year, or are you all just too cold to post comments
After giving mine a clay polish with AG SRP then Simoniz original and AG EGP only have to give her a quick wash and spay detailer to bring her back to super shiny
Have to do it twice a week though

It's all quiet this time of year, it is cold and doesn't inspire cleaning, especially as it gets dirty again so quick! Really it is even more important this time of year with the roads being gritted and the dirt coming off of the side of the road.

Still I am guilty of not cleaning mine, the state of it puts me off because it will take several hours to do!

Currently cleaning weekly instead of fortnightly but like Jordan said you drive to the shops and back and it's rotten again, I've done 800 miles this wee,k motorway and country roads so you can imagine how bad it is so after I recon the starter motor its a snow foam, auto wash, auto clay and cleanser polish! Wish md luck before I freeze into a popsicle!

Work fast and you will be sweating but I hate the cold, should have been out of bed 15 minutes ago but no chance with the frost, gonna cut the work run as close as possible

In a strange way, I quite enjoy cleaning my '75 this time of year - you can take your time drying the car without fear of water spots forming. My hand held Airforce blower comes into its own in the colder weather. Great fun chasing the water off the panels and out from behind the trim. Neighbours think I'm loony mind!!

I try not to use the R75 at this time of year generally, as because others have said it all seems a bit pointless what with the weather. So it stays under the Cover most of the time other than to give it a quick clean and a going over with a Quick Detailer/Wax as an extra protection. But of course that is on a good day when I know it's not going to rain and be generally sunny.

And today looks like it could well be one of those days!!!

Spike had an all-over clean and polish last weekend and I did all the interior trim yesterday. Touching up with a bit of Stubie's dye today and refurbed hairpins going on next week, so no doubt another Polish before Christmas so I can stare lovingly out of the window at him on Christmas Day!

Need to get myself a pet dryer, it is on the list along with a fair few other bits, even stretching beyond Santa's helping hands

Well, after a run up to Newcastle last night, the car was looking decidedly filthy this morning, so just been out with my vacuum pump full of water, & washed it down, getting rid of some of the grit that was sprayed about last night Now she's back to supertallic, monogram, pearlescent, wedgwood

Well, decided to do the dirty and take the Cover off and give it a bit of a wipe-down with a leather, as that is all what was needed really....

Did put some Autoglym Tyre Dressing on the Tyres though as they looked a bit tired.

Very happy with 30 minutes hard work!






(And people say Covers are a waste of time)....
