Default Black & Decker Black & Decker PAV1205 Hand Car Vac

Hi.
Has anybody got one of these 12v vacuum cleaners.
To date i have never had a decent 12v car vac. They've all been absolutely rubbish but this one seems to have loads of raving reviews on Amazon .

Agree, I've tried a number of 12 volts ones. All rubbish really.

No vac which plugs into a lighter socket limited to 10amps, can be very effective, simply because the wattage is limited to 120w - compare that to your home vacs 2,000watts.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I agree that any 12v vac is going to be a complete let down but i can't believe all the positive reviews on Amazon. I've gone through 50 reviews and not one has had a bad word mentioned on it. Over the last 25 years I've tried a fair few 12v vacuums and they've all been a pile of poooo. Where my wife works they have them on offer at £30. plus her 10 % discount so if they are any good i could grab my self a bargain.
Are Amazon reviews a good basis to go on or is the truth slightly exaggerated for the better of the product " shall we say "
