Default Sealing the dye

Hi Poppy,
Great looking job on your interior!!
Do you apply Stubie's dye with the little sponge he provides (dabbing it on?) and then what product did you seal the leather dye with?

Cheers

Paul

Hiya Paul. Yes, Just dab it on.......The sealant that I used is this.....Maybe a small bottle, but goes a long way.....Excellent...

Perhaps the dye has separated a bit.
Send me you address and I will send you a small sample of black to darken the neptune blue.

Hi Stubie

I am back in the UK and wondered if you had any luck in sorting out the dye separation of the neptune blue? No sign here of sample you mentioned. Do you have any thoughts?

Default Before and after 1st coat

I've got round to starting work on my steering wheel, before image of the whole wheel and an after shot of one side.

After the second coat it doesn't seem to be much better than the image here, but it was fairly well worn.

Mine took about 5 coats, looked like new when finished. Well worth putting in the effort.

No I completed 4 coats quite soon, it dries very quickly, I did mine when warm and sunny. Applied a final coat the following day, then about 3 months in whilst still on the car I topped it up with another coat.
