New Bumper, New Problem.
Howdy do folks.
I've just had the front bumper replaced due to accident damage that occured just before Christmas, and while the car now looks much nicer with straight body panels, the fixings on the new bumper where the fog lights go were broken. Is there a way to repair (or bodge) this damage so I can refit them?

Can the parts from the old bumper be used, or were they broken in the accident? Perhaps Steve could help you out?

Broken on the damaged side. The ones on the passenger side were still intact, but fused to the rusty screws holding the old fog on.

You're probably right, but I'd rather not have to spend more money on yet another bumper if there's a workaround available.

Do you mean the inserts that screw into the bumper then you screw the lamp to?

I had an 'incident' in 2012 with a Dear, ran off with the NS indicator stuck up his/her ar5e. Destroyed the fog light mount completely.
I ended up fabricating a new fog light housing/mount from 2mm black ABS. I don't have any pictures, but I should be able to pull the bumper off and take a few in the next few days if that would help any? let me know. I've posted before about the adhesive I used, and all is still intact as I had a look when I sorted the DRL's. SteveN

I know it's a big ask, if you could I'd appreciate it. My mot is due soon and I'd like to refit them by then.
Thanks.
